Speaking at the quarterly press conference of the National Bureau of Statistics; Peter Casimir, policy maker at the European Central Bank said; today is Wednesday; He is not sure that the ECB will continue the monetary tightening cycle in September.

In this context; Casimir noted that inflation remains stubborn, and expressed doubts that it will decline soon, adding that inflation must be more under control so that the ECB can stop interest rate hikes.

Earlier today, ECB Symkus member Nazir Casimir stated; He said he had no doubts that the Bank would raise interest rates next July, adding that despite this, it was still too early to assess the need to take a step at the next meeting, something many of his colleagues at the ECB believed might be necessary.

Simkus added that there is no need to rush to take a decision on whether interest rate hikes should continue next fall, taking into account all the uncertainties and risks threatening European economies, especially since the European Central Bank is approaching the peak of interest rate hikes.
