Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Have you noticed a buildup of dandruff on your scalp during the winter?
The good reason for this may be dehydration, but there are a host of other reasons that lead to this annoying condition.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, in a tweet on Twitter, highlighted the causes of dandruff.
Reasons for the appearance of dandruff frequently during the winter season:
Dryness makes it difficult to produce enough oils for the scalp, which causes dandruff to appear, especially in the winter.
- Not washing hair:
Lack of hair washing in the winter causes the accumulation of fats on the scalp and the appearance of dandruff
- Greasy hair:
Seborrheic dermatitis leads to redness of the skin, and the appearance of a white crust
Dandruff can be the result of a certain diet that lacks the nutrients needed by hair, such as zinc and vitamin B.
And lead to some diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, yeast fungus (malassezia), or allergies resulting from certain types of hair washing products to the emergence of dandruff.
And if you suffer from the appearance of dandruff on the scalp permanently, be sure to visit a certified dermatologist to receive the appropriate treatment.
