Norwegian skier Kruger tests positive for coronavirus ahead of Beijing Olympics

Two-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing from Norway Simen Hagstad Krueger passed a positive test for coronavirus.

He is at the training camp in Italy as part of the Norwegian team for the 2022 Games in Beijing. Kruger is now isolated in his room. He has no symptoms of illness.

Earlier, the coronavirus was detected in the coach of the Norwegian sprint group Arild Monsen and skiers from the Olympic team Heidi Weng and Anna Kjersti Kalvo.

Olympic Games in Beijing will be held from 4 to 20 February.

The main fear of the 2022 Olympics is covid tests. What happens if you pass positive? Will the whole team be shut down?
