Budapest – The Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen successfully defended his world championship title over 5,000 m on the final day of the title fights in Budapest. The Olympic champion, who was disappointed in second place in the 1,500 m, won on Sunday in 13:11.30 minutes, a narrow sprint ahead of the Spaniard Mohamed Katir. Mary Moraa unexpectedly triumphed in the women’s 800 m (1:56.03 min.), the Kenyan asserted herself ahead of the favorites Keely Hodgkinson (GBR) and defending champion Athing Mu (USA).
