Pakistan Street Children Football Team is going to participate in Youth Football Cup 2024 in Norway this month.
The Norwegian Youth Football Cup will start on July 27.
The coach and players of the Pakistan team are determined to win the trophy for Pakistan.
Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood said in a press conference along with the coach and captain of the street children football team at the Islamabad Sports Complex on Sunday that ‘Pakistan’s youth should only get opportunities, these are not the street children of Pakistan. They are the future, street football kids are now representing Pakistan.’
On this occasion, the coach of the team, Rashid Ahmed, said that ‘any project requires funders and media, these children are children of Pakistan, most of them are from disadvantaged backgrounds. I go to these children’s territories and try them out.’
He said that ‘many children have talent but they cannot come to give trials because of money. These children need your support, the more opportunities you give to these children, the more they will shine the name of Pakistan.’
He said that these players do not have facilities. We provide them facilities. Players need to be supported financially.’

The captain of the team, Muhammad Adeel, while talking to Independent Urdu, said that ‘We have been having a training camp for two months, in which we used to do physical training in the morning and technical training in the evening.’
Boys from all over Pakistan have been selected in the street child football team. Every year this event is held in Norway, last year we also went and came second.
Khiladi Obaidullah said that ‘I am a matriculation student and want to continue my studies but also want to play football.’
Mohammad Khan, a player from North Waziristan, says, ‘The grounds in our area are in very bad condition and there is no support for playing football there. North Waziristan has a lot of talent but lacks motivation in sports.’
