North Korea holds military parade to celebrate army’s founding anniversary | Asia-TBD

According to Yonhap and Archyde.com, North Korea held a military parade on February 8, which was expected by many – to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the country’s armed forces.

The parade is expected to include a display of new weapon North Korea’s best.

North Korea has a tradition of using parade to mark important national anniversaries and showcase the latest weapons systems to assert its military presence in the region.

Earlier, a spokesman for the US State Department said that the country was closely monitoring the activities of the US North Korea as well as the country’s planned military parade.
