According to South Korean military sources, the launches were made from the province of South Pyongan and were spaced out over an hour.

Although this test does not imply a violation of the resolutions imposed by the UN on North Korea for its nuclear program, the South Korean Security Council met this Sunday following the launches.

North Korea has not confirmed the rocket launcher tests, nor the missile tests reported by Seoul in the last week.

According to South Korea, Pyongyang has carried out at least ten missile tests since the beginning of 2022, which represents a record number.

North Korea has reiterated that its weapons and missile tests are defensive in nature and do not pose a threat to the Korean peninsula.
