BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – North Dakota artist Todd Clausnitzer placed as a top ten finalist in the 2023 Federal Duck Stamp competition.
The competition raises money for the U.S. Migratory Bird Conservation Fund and serves as both a hunting license and a free pass into any U.S. wildlife refuge.
Clausnitzer started his career as a medical textbook artist and has experience in printing and as a business owner.
We asked him if he has plans to enter once more and he said, “Oh, absolutely. It was a part of my bucket list.”
Another North Dakota artist, Daniel Schumacher, also placed among the finalists.
