Raleigh, NC.- From the monday may 1All driver’s license offices in North Carolina will be open without an appointment following noon, the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) recalled.

For those looking to be attended by appointment, these will only be available until 11 am and can be reserved at skiptheline.ncdot.gov

We are making adjustments to increase walk-in availability because that’s what we’ve heard our customers want.said Wayne Goodwin, commissioner of the NCDMV.

Goodwin pointed out that currently regarding 25% of appointments end without the user attending.

In a press release, the NCDMV mentioned that even with this change, walk-in customers may still have the opportunity to receive morning service. This, the state agency clarified, if there is time between scheduled appointments or if a client does not show up for a scheduled appointment.

STAFF REQUIRED

Goodwin, indicated that there are openings available and called to join the NCDMV team.

If you know someone looking for meaningful work who likes to serve others in a team setting, please reach out!”he claimed.

In addition to the nearly 100 new examiners added statewide last year, 85 more have been hired or are in the process of hiring since January, the agency said.

NEW FUNCTIONS

As appointment scheduling shifts toward more walk-ins, a new feature will soon be available on the NCDMV Office Locations webpage to show the public the current estimated wait time at driver license offices. .

This will allow customers to see the current estimated wait times at different locations so they can make the best decision regarding which office to go to or whether to try once more another day, the NCDMV said.

SOON SATURDAYS

As in previous years, NCDMV is preparing to offer Saturday hours at 16 locations this summer.

These offices will be open from 8 am to noon on Saturdays, from June 3 to August 26:

Asheville, Charlotte-University City, Charlotte South, Fayetteville West, Greensboro East, Greensboro West, Greenville, Hudson, Huntersville, Jacksonville, Monroe, Morganton, Raleigh North, Raleigh West, Wilmington South y Winston-Salem South.

In addition, NCDMV is exploring the possibility of adding more Saturday locations as staffing levels allow.
