CARY, N.C. (Oct. 13, 2023) – North Carolina Courage forward Kerolin Nicoli has been selected for EA Sports’ FC24 newest Trailblazers Ultimate Teamas announced by the global gaming phenomenon Friday. The historic moment marks the first NWSL player ever selected for a special card in the game.
With over 11 million players worldwide, FC24 has extraordinary reach across the soccer world. The World Cup and NWSL star Kerolin, who is also one of those gamers herself, will have her fancy footwork, deceptive speed, and lethal striking on display for an even bigger audience for a major exposure opportunity for her, the Courage, and the NWSL.
Trailblazers is a brand-new pack for 2024 and showcases players with outstanding starts to their seasons. Kerolin joins the two-week Trailblazers campaign with the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Caroline Hansen, Mohamed Salah, and more. Kerolin is currently second in the NWSL Golden Boot race, having become the third-ever Brazilian and fourth-ever Courage player to score double-digit goals in a regular season. She also scored the match-winner in the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup Final in September.
Kerolin and the Courage wrap up the 2023 NWSL regular season this Sunday, October 15, when they visit the Washington Spirit for CarMax NWSL Decision Day with a league-wide 5:00 p.m. ET kickoff. The Courage enter the day in third place in the standings and are one of eight teams competing for four remaining playoff spots.
