Norris beats Max Verstappen in dominant style at Zandvoort – Autosport.nu

Lando Norris has won the Dutch Grand Prix in a dominant way. Max Verstappen took the lead, but Norris took the lead before the pit stops and created a huge gap to the Dutchman’s Red Bull. Verstappen could not make a fist against the dominance of Norris and his McLaren. Carlos Sainz finished in third place.

Norris started from pole, but it was Max Verstappen who got off to the best start. The Dutchman entered the Tarzan bend as the leader and managed to create a gap of about 1.5 seconds. Norris kept the leader in sight and before the pit stops the Briton managed to outsmart the Dutchman. In his McLaren he quickly created a gap to Verstappen, whereby the Dutchman simply could not keep up. Charles Leclerc started the race strongly and also had the speed. Aided by a good strategy the Monegasque steered his Ferrari to third place, despite the pressure from Oscar Piastri in his McLaren who eventually finished fourth.
