MEXICO CITY.- This Wednesday the minister president Norma Piña submitted her resignation to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN).
The resignation was presented together with that of another 7 of the 11 ministers of the organizationin what he described as “an act of congruence“, in the midst of protests over the controversial judicial reform promoted by the president, Claudia Sheinbaum.

“This resignation does not imply my agreement with the separation of the position for which I was originally appointed until December 10, 2030, but rather a act of congruence and respect for the constitutional text that governs us today,” Piña said in the letter sent to the president of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Norona.
