Noon Against Putin: Yulia Navalnaya’s Appeal for Unity in Russia

Widow of Alexei Navalny Yulia Navalnaya released an appeal in which she called on the residents of Russia to take part in the “Noon once morest Putin” action – and to come to the polling stations at the same time at 12:00 on March 17, on the main day of voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation. Alexei Navalny supported the same action shortly before his death. After his death, the politician’s associates called participation in the action “the political testament of Alexei Navalny.”

Hello. This is Yulia Navalnaya. And these are you – the best, the bravest, the most honest people of our country, the people who give me hope. It was you who stood in line for many hours on Friday, March 1, to say goodbye to Alexey. But the next day there are even more of you. Here is the third day, Sunday, a kilometer-long queue and a mountain of flowers, behind which you can’t even see the cross. And so every day. I can’t put into words how much this means to me. Looking at you, I am convinced that everything is not in vain, and this thought gives me strength. And I’m sure I’m not the only one. These shots are filled not only with sorrow and grief, but also with hope. Alexey dreamed of a beautiful Russia of the future, and you are this Russia.

March 17. Noon. For Navalny

Alexey Navalny

These days I saw a lot of warmth, kindness and unity – and this is exactly what distinguishes us from the people sitting in the Kremlin. They have a cult of the past, war, missiles and vile murders, while we have love, mutual support and faith in the future. Now you all know that there are actually a lot of us – all those who love and support Alexei, who share his ideas. And as long as we have each other, nothing is over. The best way to not lose this feeling of unity is to be around more often.

Voting in the presidential election is ahead. Yes, they are complete fiction and fake. Putin will imagine any result that he likes, even 80, even 180 percent. But we can still use these so-called elections once morest him, use them to achieve our goals.

Alexey himself managed to tell us exactly how to do this. We need to use election day to show that we exist and there are many of us, we are real living real people and we are once morest Putin. You need to come to the site on the same day and at the same time – March 17 at noon. What to do next is up to you. You can vote for any candidate except Putin. You might ruin your ballot. You can write “Navalny” on it in large letters. And even if you don’t see the point in voting at all, you can just come and stand at the polling station, and then turn around and go home.

Even if you were forced to vote earlier, nothing will stop you from stopping by the polling station on March 17 at 12 noon. The most important thing is to come. This is a very simple and safe action, it cannot be prohibited. And it will help millions of people see like-minded people and realize that we are not alone, we are surrounded by people who are also once morest war, once morest corruption and once morest lawlessness.

Most likely, the Kremlin will start to scare everyone here too. But what can they do? Close the areas for an hour and not let you in? You have every right to come vote at any time, and the followingnoon of March 17 is no more dangerous than any other day. And the more they scare us, the more we must remember: if they don’t want it that way, then it’s a problem for them. And if this is a problem for them, then this is how they need to act.

Alexey called for participation in this “Noon Against Putin” action, and that is why it is so important for me personally. I want to do what he thought was right. I encourage everyone to come and remember him. Alexey wrote that millions of Russians might take part in such a nationwide protest, which would take place not just in every city, but in every district of every city, and tens of millions more would see it. And for there to be truly many of us, we must use the remaining time for campaigning. Everyone should know regarding this action, so I directly appeal to everyone who watches this video: persuade one more person to come with you – this will be your personal contribution to the common cause. Next to you there are probably many who are once morest Putin and once morest the war, and if we come at the same time, our voice once morest Putin will sound much louder.

Alexey had an amazing superpower – he knew how to unite a variety of people. Muscovites of all ages voted for him in the Moscow mayoral election, and across the country all sorts of people came to meet with him as he challenged Putin in the presidential election. And now completely different people came to say goodbye to him. He supported “Noon once morest Putin” for the same reason – this action unites everyone. Those who participate in it do not need to argue regarding what is right or wrong to do on March 17th. In any case, this is not an election; Putin in any case will not be a legitimate president, either for you and me, or for the whole world. But at noon on March 17, we can come and see each other, see that there are many of us and we are strong.
