Nomadic theater takes to the road!

If theater is commonly called “the father of the arts”, it is for the simple and good reason that it brings together several artistic disciplines, from music to dance, via burlesque and cinematography. Knowing this, the artistic agency Team’arti, which works in professional corporate or general public events, had given an appointment to lovers of this artistic activity, from August 15 to 21 in Harhoura (Skhirate-Témara).

Like a breath of fresh air in this time of crazy heat, the meeting allowed local populations to celebrate, for several days, their beloved musical genres through many concerts and events. Also, this festival has allowed everyone to take advantage of masterclasses and workshops whose themes appeal to young and old, which relates to “the socio-cultural dimension of the team and its ultimate goal”, according to Mohammed El Hassouni, artistic director of Team’arti.

For his part, Itimad Zahidi, from the Skhirate-Témara prefecture, said that he welcomed “with great pleasure and as many emotions this very remarkable initiative of the young people of this territory who want to make an event at least special. It is for the first time in the history of the prefectural territory of Skhirate-Témara that such a meeting is organized. Team’arti, a group of young people from this same prefecture, has left a very positive impact on the inhabitants”.

As for Manal Ghattas, in charge of communication with Team’arti, she affirms, on the dictaphone of “L’Opinion”, having deliberately chosen “to make this festival coincide with the celebration of the Youth Day, and thus to celebrate the young generations by offering them a space entirely dedicated to cultural encounters and entertainment”. And to add, with as much positivism: “Our goal is to make the Team’arti Festival one of the great moments of the summer for all the young people of Skhirate-Témara”.

Ali Baba and the 40 artists

With the participation of more than 40 artists and broken down into 7 masterclasses, 2 giant concerts (one at the municipal stadium in Témara, 5 minutes from Rabat and the other in Harhoura) and 7 different street events, this event culture targets a population of 500,000 people. We find among the artists who responded “present” at this meeting, names of the ilk of “l7or”, “7-Toun”, “Draganov”, “Kouz1” and “Ma’iz”.

On the menu, the public was also treated to street entertainment with clown shows, folklore shows and street theatre. The festival’s masterclasses, focusing on photography, singing, dancing, digital marketing, gaming and even video editing, were led by renowned artists and experienced teachers.
