NOHa, more than just a sports program

NOHa is above all a global educational program, which combines learning to swim and awareness of Olympic values and disability.

In addition to learning to swim, a whole course is offered to middle school students in this Olympic year. This started with watching the film The Color of Victory, which retraces the journey of athlete Jesse Owens at the Berlin Games in 1936. In the weeks to come, children will discover three exhibitions to enrich their knowledge and transmit the universal values of sport, while an introduction to parasport ( blind football, para-athletics, rugby, basketball and handchair) will complete this program designed to raise awareness of disability among these young people. As the culmination of this innovative system, an invitation was launched to all NOHa participants to attend the para-swimming events which will be held in Hauts-de-Seine, at Paris La Défense Arena, in September 2024.

The Terre de Jeux 2024 trophy

This trophy, symbolizing the Department’s commitment to sport, its values and Paris 2024, contains a few grams of the land of Olympia, directly linking it to the cradle of the Olympic Games. It represents the contribution of Hauts-de-Seine to a France united by sport, where each local initiative is part of a national celebration of the Paris 2024 Games.

The winners were chosen by a jury of experts from more than 300 projects submitted and announced exclusively during the Forum. Like the Brennus Shield or the Césars, the Terre de Jeux 2024 Trophy was intended to be a unique object to symbolize a city’s commitment to sport, its values and Paris 2024.
