“The overall estimate at this stage of the premiums amounts to 3.2 million euros,” he said.

“From June 2022, Health Insurance has been mobilized to monitor this network of dental health centers, via the national task force which was created for this purpose in close collaboration with the Central Office for Combating Work illegal (OCLCTI),” it was added.

As part of this dedicated “task force”, ten other complaints were filed in 2023, making twelve in total, relating to various centers spread across France, said the CNAM.

The complaints were first grouped together by the Evry public prosecutor’s office in December 2020, before the specialized Parisian court took charge in August 2023.

The investigations were entrusted to OCLCTI as well as to the interministerial research groups (GIR) of Paris and Evry.

The headquarters of the Nobel Santé group located in Paris was searched in mid-January and bank accounts were blocked, said a source close to the matter.

As part of this preliminary investigation, “various searches were carried out in centers in Paris, Argenteuil, Lyon and Evry” and “seizures were made on health center accounts”, according to the prosecution.

The CNAM’s complaints filed in the summer of 2023 target the offenses of fraud, forgery and use of forgery, false declarations with a view to obtaining or attempting to obtain an undue payment from a social protection organization, we added.

“At the same time, as the law now authorizes, Health Insurance has initiated conventional procedures with the nine centers concerned, spread across French territory, for dental activities”, added the Cnam, specifying that it might not “provide any ‘additional information’ due to ongoing legal proceedings.

Nobel Santé brings together 26 dental centers in Paris and France, according to its website.
