The NÖAAB welcomes the measures to make overtime and longer working hours more attractive.
St. Pölten (OTS) – The Lower Austrian Employees’ Association (NÖAAB) welcomes the benefits package presented by ÖVP club chairman August Wöginger and ÖVP senior citizens’ association president Ingrid Korosec under the motto “Performance must be worth it”. “As part of the benefits package presented today, the workload for top performers will be relieved in three key areas and incentives and benefits will be provided so that overtime and longer working hours are made more attractive. Higher supplements or exemption from contributions for working following the standard retirement age or the expansion of tax-privileged overtime are a win-win situation for employees and Lower Austria as a business location,” says NÖAAB state chairwoman Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister.
The NÖAAB sees this “benefits package” as fulfilling its demands for more attractive working conditions. NÖAAB regional manager Katja Seitner: “We are pleased that this ‘benefits package’ will help to improve the quality of life of people in Lower Austria and support the employees Extra work and longer hours are worth it. The “benefits package” presented decisive measures to promote overtime and longer working hours. These include increasing the allowances for overtime and pollution, difficulty and hazard allowances, which increase overtime to 120 euros and the allowances to 400 euros. In the area of pensions, contribution exemptions are being introduced for people who receive their pension following reaching the standard retirement age, which means a relief of around 1,200 euros per year. The improvement of the provision of information before retirement and The flexibilization of part-time regulations helps to enable an informed decision regarding retirement and to make people understand the advantages of staying in working life for longer. In addition, part-time employees are granted a legal right to information regarding advertised full-time positions in order to promote effective applications for full-time positions.
