NOA Argamani, an Israeli citizen who was kidnapped by the Nova music festival during a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, in Israel made a shocking confession. He denied media reports that said that during his captivity Hamas experienced violence.

Noa met with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa in Tokyo to talk about her experiences as a hostage. However, she called media reports out of context.

“They (Palestinians) did not beat me and did not cut my hair. I was in a building (in Gaza) that was blown up by the (Israeli) Air Force,” he said as reported by Anadolu Agency.

According to him, Israeli media misinterpreted his testimony claiming he was beaten and had his hair cut while held captive in Gaza.

He explained that the wound he received was actually caused by the building collapse that fell on him as a result of an Israeli army attack.

“As a victim of October 7, I will not allow myself to be victimized again by the media,” he added.

On June 8, the Israeli army managed to free four prisoners, including Argamani, in a special operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

According to Israeli public broadcaster KAN, there are currently 109 Israeli hostages in Gaza, 36 of whom are believed to be dead.

Israel launched an offensive on Gaza following a Hamas offensive on October 7 last year and continued it for more than 10 months despite UN Security Council resolutions calling for a ceasefire.

The onslaught has resulted in more than 40,200 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and more than 93,000 injuries, according to local health authorities. (Z-2)
