It’s been about 24 hours since the news spread (which we also reported HERE) of how WWE aims to expand its territory and cultivate an interest in the city of Las Vegas. This was already clear, as the Nevada city is the chosen location for the forty-first edition of WrestleMania in April 2025. What was not clear was the “role” of the Performance Center: initially it seemed that they were ready to pack up and move entirely.
EDITOR’S PICKS
Since its inception, WWE’s developmental territory NXT has found a home at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.. A leak on Wednesday, however, led to the belief that this could change and that the Performance Center could be moved en masse from Orlando to Las Vegasin Nevada. Nothing by chance, since Las Vegas is a TKO hubbut as time went by the situation was defined.
The Performance Center doesn’t move but doubles in size
It seems that, contrary to what initially appeared, the correct answer to Las Vegas’ involvement is this: a second Performance CenterDave Meltzer says this, specifying, as he underlined Ringside Newswhich is true that WWE is considering setting up a home in Las Vegas in some capacity but that It doesn’t necessarily mean the Orlando Performance Center will close.
Meltzer himself then reiterated that currently the details on this maneuver are very scarce and that only a few company insiders are aware of the company’s real plans. However, it is undeniable that Las Vegas represents an interesting sports market and that WWE is aware of the importance of establishing itself more in that territory.
We will of course follow this story closely and provide you with more details as soon as they become available.
