No vaccines, no COVID, with flu

The Undersecretary of Health, Dr. José Luis Neme, accompanied the mayor yesterday at the press conference offered on the subject of health in Chivilcoy, as the only topic of discussion between officials and representatives of the media who were present.

There the doctor expressed: we have the guard covered with more than two doctors, having quickly covered the demands that this situation forces us to have with private centers. We also met with the surgeons and traumatologists and we are practically solving the problem of the outpatient clinics, which will begin to function normally as of today.

That is why we have to ask the population to consider this situation. Waiting generates concern in the patient, that is understood, because he wants an immediate solution to his problem. But there are many patients to resolve and attend to, and the criteria of each doctor resolves which one is attended to first.

Without vaccines, without Covid, with flu

At another point in the talk with the local media, Neme referred to the Covid situation in the city, when provincial officials are heard talking regarding growth, the local public health officer said: There are no hospitalized patients with Covid in the city. Hospital for several days, fortunately, this makes us happy, it helps us, so we have provided the resources made for this purpose for patients who have joined through the guard, with other ailments, taking advantage of what was the Covid room, to release the guard.

In relation to the flu in the city, he expressed: we have numerous cases of flu. Today, unfortunately, the vaccines are over, we have applied 627 Miraflou anti-influenza vaccines to people over 65 years of age and those under 65 years of age related to education, safety and health. We are waiting for the new vaccines – we still do not have the date of receipt. The vaccines that we are giving are trivalent, H1, for influenza and the Washington virus, they were distributed in the CAPS, but we are lacking, because we have applied them all. The system is active, we wait for the dose supplies and we go out to vaccinate.

At the end, Neme referred to the attention of the traumatologists: I say once more, on the subject of the traumatologists on Thursday from noon to 2 in the followingnoon, we were together. We are practically in the final solution, there are still some questions regarding the specialists, regarding invoicing through a different place, etc. But it is something specific to them. Our contribution was to reach an agreement, with an enormous effort, so that the population has coverage for such a critical specialty, at a time when IOMA does not allow this situation.
