No simplest trick to sink into sleep within minutes!

You may want to wake up early the next day, but sleep usually fights your eyes when you want it as soon as possible, but the next report may find the simple solution to this suffering. Everyone’s circadian rhythm affects body temperature fluctuations throughout the day and night, hypothermia usually precedes sleep, and one quick, simple and easy trick can create the perfect environment for a quick sleep.

While the evidence suggests that wearing socks can lower core body temperature, making you fall asleep faster, women, in particular, have a “lower resting metabolic rate” which affects their sensitivity to cooler sleeping environments.

How does wearing socks help to sleep?

Wearing socks helps the distal vessels dilate, which means more blood flows to the feet, so as more blood flows toward the feet, the core body temperature begins to drop.

And research published in the National Library of Medicine, according to the Express website, analyzed the effectiveness of bed socks on sleep quality. The research team, from Seoul National University, recruited six men to study their sleep. Each man participated in two experimental conditions:

1. Wearing socks to bed to sleep. 2. Do not wear socks to bed to sleep.

The graph on the wrist was used to record sleep quality across several measures, namely sleep efficiency, total sleep time, number of awakenings, wake up following sleep, average awake duration, movement index, and segmentation index.

Seven hour measurements

All measurements were taken over a seven-hour period while the participants slept in a room with a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.

Heart rates and skin temperatures were also recorded, and participants were asked for their opinions on how well they slept. When wearing the socks while sleeping, the participants slept 7.5 minutes faster than when they were not wearing the socks.

Furthermore, the total sleep time of those wearing bed socks lasted 32 minutes longer.

People who wore the socks slept 7.5 times fewer times during the night. Sleep efficiency was “7.6% higher” for those who wore the socks while sleeping.

Thus, the researchers concluded that wearing socks while sleeping “has positive effects on sleep quality”.

However, people with circulation problems or swollen feet prefer not to wear socks while sleeping.
