no rush in the stations despite the end of the fuel discount this Saturday evening

In the morning, we certainly observed a queue that overflowed on the roundregarding in front of the pumps of the Auchan store in Bouliac but, in the followingnoon, all the professionals agreed that this weekend of transition between 2022 and 2023 was no busier than the previous ones. And even rather quieter given that many motorists were on vacation.

“10 cents counts”

“A lot of people aren’t aware of the increase in the liter of fuel anyway,” explains Amar, manager of four Avia stations in Gironde and Dordogne. “They are surprised when we tell them. They don’t necessarily follow the news. And they are worried: many customers who used to refuel only take 20 or 30 euros worth of petrol now. Just enough to go to work or do the shopping. »

For Eric, an accountant living in Salles and working in Haillan, the economy is not negligible. “I do 100 kilometers a day, 10 cents per liter more, that counts. I only consumed a quarter of my full, but I’m still going to do it once more, ”he says, grabbing the gun from a pump.
