The Americans are disappointed, although no one actually expected that the meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti would lead to an agreement. The mere fact that Vučić and Kurti met last Thursday following the escalation of the conflict at the beginning of summer was a kind of success. At the end of May, radical nationalist Serbs attacked soldiers of the NATO-led Kfor with projectiles, in some cases seriously injuring them. A soldier had to have his leg amputated.
