Sony unveils its new range of smartphones with the Xperia 1 V and the Xperia 10 V. The first represents the excellence of the manufacturer and yet the presentation is done without a sound.
The presentation of the new Xperia 1 V says a lot regarding both the smartphone market and the state of Sony in this industry. The manufacturer unveiled its new flagship at 6 a.m. without trumpet or drum. The brand also unveils the Sony Xperia 10 V, its new mid-range and the lightest smartphone on the market with a 5000 mAh battery according to the manufacturer.
A flagship of 2023 with Sony sauce
The Sony Xperia 1 V takes up the classic Xperia design with this rather “square” and “flat” format that we know well. Here, the brand offers us a 6.5-inch screen with a 21: 9 format and 4K definition at 120 Hz. Unsurprisingly, we find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from Qualcomm with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Small subtlety, this 1/1.35 inch type sensor does not offer its entire surface in photography, it will cut slightly on the edges for better apparent stability.

An average mid-range
The Xperia 10V does not shine with great originality either. We are entitled to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip and a 1080p OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.1 inches. The smartphone weighs 159 grams on the scale, which seems relatively light for its format. The good point is also in its IP65/68 certification for better resistance to water and dust. The phone once once more incorporates a jack port.
Prices defying all competition
The Sony Xperia 10V will be available from June for 449 euros. The Sony Xperia 1V will be marketed at 1399 euros. That is to say more expensive than an iPhone 14 Pro or a Galaxy S23 Ultra. Good luck.
