There are always innovations in supermarkets and discounters. Now the price markings are affected.
It’s pretty confusing: Suddenly Aldi no longer shows prices. According to the discounter, the step has become necessary. What does that mean for consumers?
Planning purchases is becoming more difficult
Many consumers currently use a shopping list. This is written before the actual purchase. This makes it easier to control expenses and a weekly plan with the corresponding dishes is also set straight away.
If you want to plan where shopping is cheapest, you often use the weekly brochures from the various supermarkets. But this is exactly where you will have to change significantly.
prices have disappeared
In the future, customers will only find out the prices for fruit and vegetables in the local shop. Since these can change daily, the brochures will no longer contain any price information for these products.
On the corresponding pages, consumers will now only find the note “Price of the day fresh”. That can be irritating, especially if, like Aldi, the brochure is a double page with 15 items.
More and more often this award
For many products, the awards will probably soon only say “updated daily”. This means that the brochures show which items are available in the store that week, but consumers will look in vain for a price.
