No Man’s Sky gets a massive update

After the controversial launch of No Man’s Sky in 2016, Sean Murray and his studio Hello Games have vindicated themselves with the community that was attracted to their sandbox space adventure with constant updates of improvements and game content, and despite the fact that at the end of last year they presented their next project, they continue to bring fresh content to their first game.

On July 17th, they brought a major update to No Man’s Sky titled “Worlds”, this being the first part of a major update, and it’s basically a complete revamp of the space adventure with visual improvements, increased planetary diversity, and a variety of new features.

In addition to looking prettier, the game also added a new expedition that will task players with hunting down bugs. All of these major improvements were implemented alongside smaller ones including DLSS3 support, new emotes, and other quests to complete.

Players can now finally rename discoveries at any time, “even following uploading them.” They can also create Solar-class spaceships, encounter new rare creatures, and enjoy new interaction tags.

The planets in the game’s universe are also transformed due to gravitational distortions. As a result, players will find floating islands and be able to build bases in the sky.

Worlds Part 1 is out now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, with the second part of this massive update coming later. In the meantime, check out the full patch notes through this link.
