Bollywood Of the series ‘Hiramundi’ Actor Taha Shah says ‘There is no one as intelligent as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whatever he wrote, he wrote from the heart. They know very well how to portray the passion of love on screen. I only used my eyes because I am a lover myself.’
In an interview given to Independent Urdu, Taha said that ‘I enjoy playing different roles. Moving into separate worlds. I myself don’t know which character I will choose. Because there are so many scripts and writers. I just want there to be romance in whatever I do.’
Regarding Hera Mandi, Taha Shah said that whatever Sanjay Leela Bhansali wrote, he wrote from the heart. They know very well how to portray the passion of love on screen. I just used my eyes because I am a lover myself.
‘I am a small part of this big project. Who am I to say anything regarding the film’s criticism? Would love to work more with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.’
Regarding her personal preferences, Taha said that she is inspired by many people including ‘Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Jackie Chan, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Walt Disney, Abraham Lincoln’ Pictures are posted on the wall.
According to Taha Shah: ‘Whenever I lose faith in myself, I look at the pictures of these people and start listening to their audio books, then I realize that these people also sacrificed a lot of hard work. If they can do it, why not us?’
He said, ‘You should do your job 100 percent. A lot of people think they are doing their 100% but they are not 100%. You have to make a lot of sacrifices.’
He was asked that ‘Many Pakistanis has criticized that the Hera Mundi series is not historically accurate.
To which he said, ‘First of all, I am not one to discuss this matter. I was a small part of this series. As I said earlier I was the last person to be cast in the series. I was the person who was first given a generic role but then Bhansali made me the lead.’
According to Taha: ‘Who am I to say anything regarding anything? Every viewer has their own view. Ultimately I can only talk regarding my effort and my experiences on set. And that is my limit.’
Regarding her personal preference, Taha said that she likes to play historical roles, but a role that has both romance and tragedy would be her favourite.
He said, ‘People liked me in a romantic role. So my preference would be to choose a romantic film with Alia Bhatt first.’

Referring to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he said, ‘I know no one as intelligent as Bhansali. His and Reuters’ grasp of history is astonishing. It was a team effort.
‘I don’t know much regarding history myself. And I don’t want to get into that either. I’m just an actor and follow the rules.
“We talk regarding superstars and rising stars, but with all of that comes a certain kind of pressure. It’s a fundamental struggle that you face and probably always will.”
He was asked what will you do next? In response, Taha said, ‘You want to ask when I am doing the next three films? And then a super hit blockbuster movie will come. You have to understand what the audience likes in you.
‘I think people have accepted me as a romantic hero. So now I want to give the audience what they want.’
Regarding more films and projects, he said, “I am looking at some scripts which include comedy, romance and war stories.”
