NORTH JUTYLLAND:Already early on Sunday, DMI announced that the people of North Jutland must prepare for a snowstorm from late Monday evening.
If anyone was hoping that the danger of the blizzard would pass, they can forget it.
On Sunday evening, the meteorologists state that the blizzard becomes a reality – and that it primarily affects North Jutland and central parts of Jutland, while the rest of the country escapes more mercifully.
– The forecasts have become more certain regarding the weather development on Tuesday. That is why the meteorologists are warning of a snowstorm in the northern half of Jutland, DMI writes on Twitter on Sunday evening.
Prog. are more certain regarding the weather development on Tuesday. The meteorologists are therefore warning of a snowstorm in the northern half of Jutland. The rest of the country will also have a severe weather day, but probably not at a level that meets the criteria for a blizzard. https://t.co/ydqxqNUv1j

And the blizzard is not just a fleeting acquaintance. The blizzard warning applies from late Monday evening and runs until Tuesday followingnoon.
A blizzard requires frost combined with more than 10 cm of fresh snow in combination with wind speeds of more than 10 meters per second, so that snowdrifts form.
As early as Monday followingnoon, the people of North Jutland are expected to see the first snow, and at the same time the wind will pick up from the east. During Tuesday, the wind will turn to the north, and it will not snow until Tuesday followingnoon.
– The total amount of snow is expected to reach between 15 and 30 cm, but locally there may be 30-40 cm. So there is a lot of snow that the wind can throw around and form snowdrifts. The temperature will be around the freezing point, but will drop during Tuesday to between 2 and 3 degrees of frost, DMI writes on its website.

Here the advice from DMI reads that it is important to bring warm clothes, liquids and a mobile phone with a charged battery, just as it is a good idea to take a tow rope, a small shovel, a blanket and a battery-powered flashlight with you in the car.
