Thiruvananthapuram: The government has clarified that there is no need for another complete lockdown in the state as the spread of Kovid is on the rise. It is enough to carry out economic activities. The announced restrictions will be tightened. Health Minister Veena George said everyone should think to maintain a situation where there is no complete lockdown.
Instructions have been given to enable CFLTC in the current situation. The health minister added that information has been passed on to district collectors and district health chiefs.
The quarantine was made compulsory for those coming from abroad as per the central directive. Complete closure will affect the lives of the people. The minister said a similar regulation to the lockdown was not currently under discussion.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health had yesterday revised the guidelines for those arriving from abroad. All passengers are required to take a seven-day compulsory quarantine. From January 11, restrictions will apply to all foreigners entering India through various channels. Children under the age of five are not required to check the Kovid before departure and at the airport. Only check for Kovid symptoms during quarantine.
