Nothing has yet to officially lift the veil on its transparent smartphone, but we already know a lot regarding it thanks to the numerous leaks, and one of them has confirmed that the charger will not be included in the box.
As is already the case with Apple or Samsung, it seems that Nothing will not include a charger in the box of its first Phone 1 smartphone. You will therefore have to obtain it separately.
Indian Youtuber Technical Gurji organized a contest for the 22.1 million subscribers to his YouTube channel to win 5 copies of Nothing Phone 1. In his video, he did not wait the official presentation of the smartphone, set for July 12to reveal the box of the device.
This takes on a rather unusual shape, since the box abandons the traditional rectangular format for a fairly square shape. Nevertheless, the main difference is above all its thickness, since as we can see in the video, the box of the Nothing Phone 1 is really very thin, which indicates that no charger is unfortunately included with the smartphone.
The Nothing Phone 1 might be fast charging compatible at just 33W
While we expected that Nothing Phone 1 supports 45W wired fast chargingnew certifications have indicated that the smartphone may ultimately only support a 33W maximum power. However, Nothing might sell a 45 W charger on its official website that will have to be purchased separately.
The good news is that those who were entitled to a code to reserve the smartphone will benefit from a voucher of 20 euros on the official site, and will therefore surely be able to afford this famous mains adapter. The box should still contain a USB-C to USB-C cableas was the case with Ear 1 headphones before it.
Anyway, despite this small disappointment in terms of recharging, the smartphone seems to offer other particularly interesting aspects that make it stand out from the competition. We find for example an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen. However, this is a feature that is usually found only on some very high-end smartphones. It is also equipped with the fast wireless chargingbut also a ultra wide-angle sensor supporting a macro mode.
