No change therefore for the Red Flames with this first Fifa ranking of the year 2022 on the women’s side.
Fifa has published its first women’s world ranking of the year 2022. The Red Flames retain their 20th place despite their victory in the Pinatar Cup (friendly tournament in Spain).
The Flames’ next matches will take place in April (Albania on the 7th and Kosovo on the 12th) and will count towards qualifying for the 2023 World Cup.
The women’s ranking is dominated by the United States, just ahead of Sweden and France, which takes Germany’s place on the podium. The Netherlands are ranked fifth.
