The cattle transporter started in Ried and was on its way to Azerbaijan. The officers noticed the articulated vehicle on the A8 because it was obviously in a very dilapidated condition. The vehicle was taken to the Kematen am Innbach traffic control point for a technical inspection: Numerous serious defects were discovered in the towing vehicle and trailer, as the police announced on Saturday evening.
The trailer’s brakes were almost ineffective and the tires were so badly damaged that it was forbidden to continue driving, the license plates were removed and a fine was collected on site.

Not only that: the police also stopped a dangerous goods transporter with serious defects and a car transporter with a trailer without any braking effect and with torn tires. Further travel was prohibited and the license plates were removed.
In total, more than 60 reports were filed during this key inspection, the license plates were removed from five vehicles and several thousand euros were collected in security deposits.
