No blood from vaccinated: custody withdrawn

The parents of a two-year-old boy who had only asked for blood from unvaccinated children for heart surgery have been temporarily deprived of custody. The case from the northern Italian city of Modena hit high waves. A juvenile court made the decision Thursday and appointed a guardian.

The boy urgently needs surgery on the heart. However, the parents only wanted to bring their son donor blood from people who have not received the corona vaccination. They had requested this from the Sant’Orsola Clinic in Bologna. The case ended up in court. The parents’ request was rejected. A judge found that the supplied blood was safe – regardless of its origin.

Before that, parents had asked for blood donations from unvaccinated people for their son in chats and had come into conflict with the clinic management. According to this, blood transfusions can only be carried out according to strict regulations.

The family turned to their lawyers. According to her, it is dangerous for her son to receive blood from donors immunized with a vaccine, which is still in the testing phase. However, this is not true, all vaccines administered in Europe have been approved on a regular basis. The parents also gave religious reasons for their demand. According to the hospital, the child is in mortal danger, the operation can no longer be delayed, it had been said.
