New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor MP says he is not allergic to Ambanis and Adanis. In an interview to NDTV in Mumbai, Tharoor said that if they are ready to invest in the state, then the real Congress says that they should.
“The real Congress says that if anyone comes and invests in my state, creates jobs and is willing to increase revenue, it should be done, Gahlot has also said that. That was my attitude even when Thiruvananthapuram airport was auctioned. Adani won the auction, we should cooperate. It happened in my constituency,” Tharoor said. He added that he was not allergic to Adanis or Ambanis.
“I have no allergy to the Adanis or the Ambanis or any other anni who wants to serve the people of the country, who want to invest in the country, who give employment to the people of India. I am someone who welcomed the liberalization of 1991,” he said.
Congress and opposition parties are constantly criticizing Adani and Ambani for being close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the statement of Shashi Tharoor, who is contesting for the post of Congress president, is very interesting.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani had stated the other day that another Rs 65,000 crore worth of projects will be implemented in Rajasthan within seven years. Through this, 40,000 people will be employed directly and indirectly, Adani said while participating in the Rajasthan Investor Summit. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the investor summit attended by industry leaders including Adani.
