The No. 16 Baylor volleyball team wraps up its regular season slate this Friday afternoon, heading to West Virginia to face the Mountaineers. The showdown at WVU Arena is slated for 1 p.m. CT, marking the first time the Bears have visited Morgantown since 2022.
Coming in with a 21-7 overall record and a 13-4 mark in Big 12 conference play, Baylor enters the match boasting an impressive 17-match winning streak against West Virginia.
Both teams took to the court on Wednesday, resulting in contrasting outcomes. Baylor battled to a hard-earned 3-2 victory over Cincinnati, while West Virginia fell to No. 22 TCU in straight sets (3-0).
In the victory against the Bearcats, Elise McGhee led the Bears’ offensive charge with a remarkable 15 kills. Victoria Davis followed closely behind with 13 kills, achieving her first double-digit kill match of the season, along with adding six blocks.

Jackie Barrett Frazier orchestrated the Baylor offense with a team-high 40 assists, while Harley Kreck dished out 12 assists for her fifth double-digit assist match of the season.
Dominant Season for the Bears
Through 28 matches this season, Baylor’s offensive firepower has been evident. Leading the way is McGhee, who has racked up an impressive 384 kills and 36 aces. Barrett Frazier has been a maestro in orchestrating the offense, amassing 820 assists.
Defensively, Briseño has been a wall at the backline with 426 digs, while Alicia Andrew has anchored the net with 86 blocks.
