## Skidmore Hockey Falls Short in Thanksgiving Invitational
**Host:** Welcome back to Skidmore Sports Talk. Today we’re discussing the men’s hockey team’s performance in the Thanksgiving Invitational Consolation Game where they unfortunately fell to Hamilton with a final score of 5-2. Joining me now is Coach [Guest Name], thanks for being here today.
**Coach:** Thanks for having me.
**Host:** It seems like a tough loss, especially coming off of [mention previous game result if available from the search results or general knowledge]. What were some of the key factors that led to Hamilton’s victory?
**Coach:** Well, Hamilton came out strong and capitalized on their opportunities early. They scored a couple of quick goals which really put us on our back foot. Although we managed to get on the board in the second period, we couldn’t seem to generate enough consistent offensive pressure to close the gap. **Host:** You mentioned Mitchell Floccare’s power play goal in the second period. How important was that goal in terms of momentum and what did you see from him during the game?
**Coach:** Mitchell played well for us. He’s got a real knack for finding the back of the net, and that power play goal definitely gave us a lift. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to spark a complete turnaround.
**Host:** Looking forward, what areas do you think the team can focus on improving as you get ready for the rest of the season?
**Coach:** We need to work on our starts. Giving up early goals has been a problem for us recently.
We also need to improve our defensive coverage and limit our mistakes in our own end. This team has a lot of potential, and I’m confident we can learn from this loss and come back stronger.
**Host:** Thank you for your insights, Coach [Guest Name]. We wish you and the team all the best for the rest of the season.
