RIO DE JANEIRO – Produced at the Nissan Industrial Complex in Resende, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, the Nissan Kicks shows that it is at home on the streets and highways of the state. So much so that it continues to dominate its segment in the local market. Sales champion in Rio de Janeiro in 2022, the Japanese brand’s SUV closed the month of March ahead of all its competitors.
The Nissan Kicks last month had a market share of 19.2% in the state, nearly double its national average. In the capital of Rio, the model also led sales in its segment with 16.6%. But it’s not just Kicks that accelerates hard on Fluminense soil.
Nissan Frontier also closed the month of March on the podium of its segment. The pickup was among the three most sold in the state with a 14.9% share. Thus, the vehicle was another Nissan that presented in Rio a result far above its national average performance.
“Nissan Kicks and Nissan Frontier are differentiated and high-quality products already recognized by our customers in the local market. And we believe that we can go further, so much so that we are working hard with our dealership network to offer customer service and post-sales aimed at exceeding our customers’ expectations. We are seeing the result in the performance in Rio, which is our home in Brazil, as it is the state that hosts our Industrial Complex”, says Rodolfo Possuelo, commercial director of Nissan do Brasil.
