On January 27, Nissan Motor Corporation submitted to the Japanese government an order to recall more than 520,000 vehicles, including Suzuki-branded vehicles, due to a faulty electric motor part that might cause a fire.
Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said the world’s leading car maker will summon a total of 527,491 X-Trail sport utility vehicles and Serena minivans, as well as Landy pickup trucks, supplied to the group Suzuki Motors.
The recall for the repairs comes following Nissan Corporation received nearly 4,000 reports of problems caused by an electric motor failure in the system that automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is temporarily stopped.
