RIO DE JANEIRO – Nissan was recognized with the “Companies that Best Communicate with Employees” award for the Internal Communication project “Mundo Mágico”. The action, which aims to integrate the employees’ families with the company by giving them the opportunity to get to know the Resende Industrial Complex, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, was elected the best action in the “Events” category of the second edition of this annual award, which is promoted by the platforms Melhor RH and Negócios da Comunicação.

Nissan’s project competed in the final with companies from different sectors, such as aviation and health, and was chosen as the winner by a group of judges with proven experience in Communication and Human Resources. In this year’s edition, the award had 19 categories distributed in three pillars: Themes, Categories and Great Ideas.

Created at the end of 2014 and reformulated in 2022, following being suspended for two years due to the need for social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, “Mundo Mágico” is a project completely designed with a focus on the family members of company employees. The selection of employees is carried out by lottery among participants in the Japanese brand’s Internal Communication campaigns.

In each edition, ten employees participate, who can invite three people each, totaling 40 visitors per group. Nissan’s Internal Communication takes care of all the logistics: transport to the factory, tour, lunch and distribution of gifts.

Since the project was created, the Nissan factory has already received 63 groups, with more than 2,500 participants, including more than 600 employees.

“The program aims to motivate and engage employees and their families, giving them the opportunity to get to know our company better, and we would also like to thank all our family members, who are always an important support network on which we rely to carry out our Professional activities. The award is important and recognition for the work carried out by the Nissan Communications team and for all the areas that support us, contributing to the realization of each edition of Mundo Mágico”, says Rogério Louro, Director of Corporate Communication at Nissan do Brazil.

Nissan not Brazil
One of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world, Nissan has been present in Brazil since 2000 and currently operates with 198 dealerships in all states of the country. Since 2014, the company has had an Industrial Complex in Resende (RJ), where the Nissan Kicks is currently produced, in addition to the 1.6 16V flexfuel engine that equips the model.

The industrial unit is experiencing a new investment cycle, announced in 2022, with an investment of up to R$ 1.3 billion (US$ 250 million). The value adds to the more than R$ 3 billion already invested by Nissan in Brazil in the last 10 years. In total, the Japanese brand has more than 2,500 employees in the country.
