Latin America – After the announcement of the integration of the Nissan Mexicana (NMEX), Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU) and Nissan South America (NSAM) units under the name Nissan Latin America (LATAM), the company announces changes to its Corporate Communications Department at Latin America.
Since November 1, 2023, Luciana Herrmann, director of Corporate Communications at Nissan Mexicana, has been responsible for the regional directorate of Corporate Communications for Nissan Latin America. Luciana will lead the product and corporate communications, public relations and internal communications teams, reporting directly to Guy Rodríguez, president of Nissan Latin America and Corporate Vice President of Nissan Motor Co.
Luciana has a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Mackenzie, with a postgraduate degree in marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, both in São Paulo.
In her career of more than 20 years in the automotive industry, Luciana has acquired experience in different areas, such as Commercial, Planning, Marketing and Communication.
Luciana led large-scale regional and global communication projects, global marketing strategies and corporate communication. She began her career at Nissan in 2015, as deputy director of Corporate Communications for Nissan Latin America, in Mexico. She later served as global Marketing leader at Nissan’s headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.
She returned to Mexico in 2019, as Communications Director at Nissan Mexicana, a position in which she had the opportunity to integrate the team and employee communications during the pandemic. He was also responsible for implementing several innovative actions to leverage the positioning of the leading brand in the automotive industry for 15 years in that country, communicate the total renewal of the product portfolio, as well as the launch of the 100% electric driving e-POWER technology on the market. .
In addition to her management role, Luciana is an advisor to the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, focusing on the Female Talent pillar. Through her involvement with DEI topics, she and her work team implemented projects to boost the development of women within the company.
With this appointment, Nissan strengthens its leadership team in the region, supporting the acceleration of Nissan Ambition 2030, the company’s long-term vision that seeks to create a cleaner, safer and more inclusive world.
This organizational change also applies to several functions responsible for the NMEX, NIBU and NSAM markets, which are now called LATAM regional functions (Marketing and Sales, Corporate Communications, Administration and Finance, Human Resources and Corporate Planning).
