A high-level meeting will be held in Kozhikode today to evaluate the Nipah defense efforts. The health department has initiated measures to find the contact list of Nipah virus confirmed cases through mobile location. Samples of 15 people on the high-risk contact list have been sent for testing. Masks must be worn in Kozhikode district. N.I.V. Pune’s mobile team is ready. Also the mobile team of Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology is coming. Isolation wards have been set up in private hospitals as part of Plan B in case of an increase in cases. Health Minister directed KMSCL to ensure extra supply of medicines and safety materials.
