The new Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple games will be honored in a special and limited edition of the Nintendo Switch with the OLED model.
The Nintendo Switch OLED – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition will be marketed on November 4 between 339.99 and 359.99 euros (the price varies according to the retailers), two weeks before the launch of Pokemon Scarlet et Pokemon Purple exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The two new Pokémon license games developed by the Japanese studio Game Freak will not be available with the collector console.
The front of the dock, rendered in glossy white, showcases the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon, while artwork inspired by the iconic Poké Ball sits on the back. On the back of the hybrid console appear the starters of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple, namely Poussacha, Chochodile and Coiffeton. Finally, the scarlet and purple Joy-Con are adorned with the Orange Academy and Raisin Academy emblems.
A Treasure Hunt in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple
As part of a school study project, players will embark on what in Paldea is called a “Treasure Hunt” that will lead to three storylines tied to the main story of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple.
- The way of the Master: go around the Arenas of the region to try to reach the rank Master
- A legendary perfume: search for rare ingredients, named Secret Spices, alongside Pepper, an upper class student
- Stardust objective: challenge Team Star, a group of troublemakers who are causing chaos in the school
“Forward!”, a new feature to discover in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple
To explore the Paldea region and its vast expanses with their favorite pocket monsters, Game Freak has created the “Forward!” feature. which allows them to be sent in a desired direction in order to collect objects and automatically attack Pokemon they encounter in nature. For the record, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be released on November 18 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
