Denuvo, an anti-cheat DRM program, will be applied to Nintendo Switch games.
Denuvo is one of the most powerful game copy protection technologies currently available. Denuvo is applied to Switch games to prevent users from running the game as an emulator on their PC. It is not yet known which games will be covered by Denuvo.
Note that Denuvo has excellent copy protection technology, but sometimes it affects the performance of the game. For example, there has been a reported case in which Resident Evil Village is measured with a higher frame rate than the original version when running with a hacked version that disables Denuvo.
Denuvo has stated that the De Nouvo software does not affect the game experience.
