Game News Nintendo Switch: three Game Boy Advance classics arrive in the Additional Pack
Nintendo has announced a new wave of games for Nintendo Switch Online. The latest additions are part of the Expansion Pack, adding three Super Mario titles to Game Boy Advance.
On May 26, the Switch will welcome three new Game Boy Advance titles! These are the first three episodes of the Super Mario Advance series. So there will be Super Mario Advance (2001), Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 (2001) and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (2002). The console already offered Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (2003) in its catalog, the series is therefore completed. These games will be accessible from the Game Boy Advance emulator of the Switch, available via Nintendo Switch Online subscription + Add-on Pack. This is the premium version of Nintendo’s online subscription (€39.99 for 12 months).
A premium subscription with many advantages
The Nintendo Switch Online Additional Pack allows, among other things, to benefit from bonus DLC for Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing: New Horizons but also additional circuits added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It also allows to have access to Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive emulators. Given the way the Japanese company offers emulators of its old consoles, if a Gamecube interface sees the light of day, there is a good chance that it will be available via this premium subscription.
In the meantime, the Mega Drive emulator offers classics like: Sonic 2, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Flicky or even Kid Chameleon. The Nintendo 64 games available are much more numerous, we will remember: Mario 64, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, Sin and Punishment, etc… And even GoldenEye 007 and Pokémon Stadium playable online! As for the GBA emulator, we have titles like Zelda Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Wario Ware Inc.
