Nintendo Switch system update adds software group, Bluetooth volume control – PCM

The Nintendo Switch, which was released in 2017, celebrates its 5th anniversary this month. Today, the official release of the system version 14.0.0 provides a software group function, allowing players who have downloaded a large number of games and applications to organize their software more systematically. In addition, this update also adds the ability to adjust the volume of the Bluetooth audio.

Players can open up to 100 groups. To create a new group, firstly, the host needs to install more than 13 software. Then, on the HOME screen, turn right to the HOME Menu. Finally, you will see the icon of “All Software”. After clicking it, you will see it at the top of the software list. to the “Group” function button. After pressing the button, you can select the software to join the group by pressing the “Create Group” button on the help screen. Players can use keywords to search for software. After selecting, press the Continue button to enter the sorting screen, and you can change the software order at will. Press the Continue key to enter the group name and you are done. Clicking on the created group will list the software in the group.

However, when you try it out, you will find that this function is not easy to use at all. The created group cannot be displayed directly on the HOME screen, but can only be seen through “All Software > Groups” on the far right of the HOME Menu. It saves the time for players who frequently change games to browse games on the console.

In terms of supporting Bluetooth audio, system version 14.0.0 has made many enhancements in volume control. First, players can adjust the volume of Bluetooth audio devices through the volume button on the Switch body. At the same time, the volume adjustment of the Bluetooth audio device will also be reflected on the display of the host. In addition, the maximum volume of some Bluetooth audio devices can also be increased following the upgrade.
