Nintendo Hypes Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Rich Open World as an “evolutionary” stage in the series

The ninth generation of Pokémon is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, and instead of doing the same thing with a few minor changes here and there, it’s already promising to be a huge jump in the series from the previous major entries.

Even Nintendo jumped on the social media hype train — a reference to pokemon scarlet and violet As an “evolutionary” move in the Pokémon series thanks to a “rich open world” full of towns and cities that blend seamlessly into the wild. Obviously, there are no limits either.

This new open world design (which follows in the footsteps of Pokémon Legends: Arceus – which features open world areas) has already been mentioned in Official game site regarding pokemon scarlet and violet. It replicates how players immerse themselves in an open world adventure like never before.

“Different cities blend seamlessly into the boundless wilderness. You will be able to see Pokemon of this region in the sky, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets, everywhere! You will be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series – fight wild Pokemon to catch them – now in an open world game that players of all ages can enjoy.”

Unfortunately, the last part of the paragraph above also raised questions regarding the capture mechanics of the new game. At this point, some trainers seem to think that the way to catch a Pokémon might revert to “traditional” methods, where you must engage in a fight.

Coming back to the topic, scarlet and violet already look incredibly promising. Are you looking forward to exploring a fully unlocked Pokémon game? Are you hoping to see any particular mechanics that apply to Pokémon Legends: Arceus or even Sword and Shield? Tell us below.
