Monster Hunter Rise, Mario + The Rabbids 2 … The stars of this Nintendo Direct Mini

Like the September 2020 Partner Showcase, today’s opened with a long segment on Monster Hunter Riseand more precisely its future extension, Sunbreak. Scheduled for June 30, this DLC will take you on a whole new adventure, with new locations, characters, creatures and even gameplay mechanics. If you want to know more, we can only advise you to take a look at notre we take stock of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

This Nintendo Direct focused on the roadmap for this extension. From August 2022, it will be entitled to a free update to introduce, in particular, the Forbidden Tower area and the Bazelgeuse vulcan and Nargacuga selenite monsters. Rebelote in fall and winter with two more updates that will focus on monsters. Suffice to say that we will have to wait a while before seeing the content of Monster Hunter Rise freeze, especially since new free updates are planned for the year 2023. We will no doubt have more details during a another such event.

Another big segment expected from this Nintendo Direct: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Is there a better time than this to reveal a little more regarding the fruit of the collaboration between Ubisoft and Nintendo? Especially since the nocturnal leak of the release date left little room for doubt. It is also confirmed: the game will be released on October 20, 2022 exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Ubisoft also took the opportunity to offer us some gameplay, which promises to be much more free and hybrid than Mario + The Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Free movements during the combat phases, wide variety of possible actions… The least we can say is that this second episode seeks to shake up the codes installed by its predecessor. If you want to know more, note that the French studio gives you see you tomorrow at 6 p.m. on his Twitch and Youtube channels.

And it was Persona who closed the event. Corridor noises spoke of the arrival of an Atlus license opus on Nintendo Switch. Logically, we therefore expected to see the famous collection of games already announced; on Xbox during Summer Game Fest. Well that is exactly what happened. On October 21, Person 5 Royal will also land on Nintendo Switch. As for Persona 4 : Golden et Persona 3 Portable, still no release date on the horizon, however. Besides the fact that this will allow these three games to leave the PlayStation exclusives bench, portability is already shaping up to be a big advantage given the colossal time needed to finish Persona 5 Royal in particular. Very good news for many players who were just waiting for this to finally embark on the great Persona adventure.

Pac-Man, Sonic… Always more nostalgia

As we know, Partner Showcases are often an opportunity to focus on games of Japanese origin. If at this level the players have not been outdone, these 25 minutes above all gave us the impression of betting above all on nostalgia. In addition to the tunnel that allowed us to discover the return of Pac-man, Megaman and Bomberman, two nostalgic games already announced have shown themselves a little more: Sonic Frontiers et Return to Monkey Island.

We also had the right to new images of Live a Livethe SNES RPG which will get a second life on Nintendo Switch within a month (July 22 to be precise). Note that a demo is available today if you want to try your hand at the game. And that’s not the only thing coming out right now. This is also the case of the discreet Little Noah: Scion of Paradise and, above all, of the Portal collection unveiled during a Nintendo Direct earlier this year. She understands Portal et Portal 2two titles certainly less old, but just as emblematic and tinged with nostalgia.

Nier Automata, Harverstella… Small surprises for the Nintendo Switch

In addition to the games that we already knew and which showed themselves a little more (Minecraft Legends, Dragon Quest Treasures…), this Nintendo Direct has some notable surprises in store for us, starting with the carrying of NieR Automata sur Nintendo Switch. To tell the truth, the information had leaked shortly before, reducing the effect of surprise. But this is still very good news for this classic video game which will therefore offer itself a The End of YoRHa Edition on Nintendo Switch. from October 6th.

Another surprise that will delight JRPG fans: a new announcement from Square Enix with Harvesta game between farm management and RPG. We find there the usual aesthetics of Square Enix games of this genre, all coupled with a hybrid gameplay that we are beginning to know now. In the village of Lèthe, your goal is to manipulate the earth to harvest resources, cook and get to know your neighbors. A fairly classic life simulation in short, except that a terrible threat comes to disturb this peaceful situation. The season of death is approaching and threatens to destroy your home. Between two harvests, you will therefore have to take up arms and defeat this scourge before it corrupts your land. The game is intended for November 4 on Nintendo Switch of course, but also PC.

We also note pretty white, cute title, monochrome, without text and which can be played in local coop and online. Suffice to say that we will be keeping an eye out for this Nintendo Switch exclusive (console side only) which should be available in February 2023. Annapurna has also unveiled a brand new game that is intriguing and cryptic to say the least: Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. The latter is scheduled for the year 2023 on Nintendo Switch but also PC. Small point on RPG Time : The Legend of Wright, le The Plucky Squire from Aniplex, which is already available on Xbox and will arrive on Nintendo Switch on August 18 (as well as on PS4). A PC version will also be available on Steam from September 13.

We end with free-to-play from Disney and Gameloft, Disney Dreamlight Valley, who made us an astonishing announcement. Scheduled for 2023, we didn’t expect to get our hands on this life simulator anytime soon. And yet, you can start bringing the magic back to Dreamlight Valley on September 6th. The game offers early access on Nintendo Switch from this date. As you will have understood, there was still a good dose of nice announcements during this event, even if it was not devoted to games stamped Nintendo.
