This very morning a new and interesting message has been shared that is directly related to Nintendo. We are talking in this case regarding a message of apologies for the errors that are currently occurring in the online functions of Switch.
Specifically, these seem to affect the eShop console and also when gamers launch digital apps and games from the Home menu. This is what Nintendo shared:
The Nintendo Switch is currently undergoing emergency maintenance of the Nintendo eShop. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please wait a moment for the maintenance to be completed.
Problems related to the use of download software, etc. have been recovered. which occurred around 5:30 on June 5. We apologize for any inconvenience.
El dataminer OatmealDome also add the following:
Looks like Nintendo’s “electronic license” (DRM) servers are having issues today. This issue appears to have been ongoing for a few hours now. I have seen reports of users being unable to access the eStore or launch the digital software due to failed license checks.
