  • Conserven asked the authorities to guarantee these people “access to justice, freedom and security.”

We are concerned about the situation of a teenager with ASD, who is 17 years old, who is also detained due to the post-electoral context and according to information provided by his relatives, the young man appeared confused and nervous as he did not know the reasons for his detention, typical of the lack of support from professionals for access to information,” he added.

The NGO asked the authorities to guarantee these people “access to justice, freedom and security”, as contemplated in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which provides “that the State will ensure access to justice for people with disabilities under equal conditions.”
