Nine United Nations employees have been killed by Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip since Saturday, according to the UN. The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) confirmed to the German Press Agency on Wednesday: “Nine UNRWA employees were killed and three teachers were injured.” In addition, 30 UNRWA students have died so far. Eight others were injured.

The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip rose to at least 1,050 on Wednesday. The Ministry of Health in Gaza said around 5,200 more people were injured.

Fighters carried out a massacre of Israeli civilians in border towns and at a music festival on Saturday on behalf of the ruling Islamist organization Hamas. It was the worst bloodbath in Israeli history.

According to the army, the number of deaths in Israel from major Hamas attacks has risen to more than 1,200. At least 3,000 others were injured. Israel responded with massive air strikes on Hama targets in the densely populated coastal strip.
